Supported Barcode Formats

Code 128 (Recommended)

A high-density barcode format capable of encoding all 128 ASCII characters. This is the most versatile and widely used format for general tracking and inventory.

EAN-13 & EAN-8

International Article Number formats standard for retail products globally. EAN-13 requires exactly 12 digits (the 13th is auto-calculated), while EAN-8 is for smaller packages.

Code 39

An older, simpler alphanumeric barcode used heavily in automotive and defense industries. It supports uppercase letters, numbers, and a few special characters.

ITF-14 & Pharmacode

ITF-14 is used on packaging for shipping containers holding EAN-13 items. Pharmacode is exclusively used in the pharmaceutical industry for packing control.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why did my barcode fail to generate?

Different barcode formats have strict rules. For example, EAN-13 requires strictly numeric input. If you try to encode letters into a numeric-only format, the generation will fail.

Is the generated image print-ready?

Yes! By adjusting the "Bar Width" and "Height" settings, you can scale the barcode up to a high-resolution PNG suitable for printing on labels and packaging.

Is my data secure?

Absolutely. This tool uses JavaScript to generate the barcode natively within your web browser. No data, text, or tracking codes are ever uploaded to remote servers.
